Dependence.

Dependence.

Foot surgery and recovery have highlighted my hesitation to depend on others. Am I asking too much or annoying in my neediness?

But meals, movement and medical help mean yielding to dependence. In exchange, here’s what is opening within me: learning to receive another’s care, hear helpful perspectives, and gather my strength.

This is an invitation for you to consider “dependence” as life-giving. Let the word shed its cultural connotations of weakness and fear. Permit yourself to need and lean and yield, all as signs of your growing strength.

You’ll find space for this in Flourish mentoring or spiritual direction sessions, where you will be received with kindness and without judgement.

Is it time for you to prioritize your dependence?

~here’s to your flourishing~
